Execution

Orders that land.

Fast, transparent order execution with the order types serious traders expect — and a clear record of every fill.

Execution is where a trading idea becomes a position. Otto is built for clean, predictable fills: you see a live price, you click, and the order is executed at the best available price with no games in between.

Every order — and every subsequent adjustment, swap and close — is written to your trade history and your MetaTrader 4 statement, so there is always a clear, auditable record.

Order types at a glance

  • Market order — execute now at the best available price.
  • Limit order — buy below, or sell above, the current price.
  • Stop order — trigger a trade once a price level is breached.
  • Stop-limit — combine a trigger with a price cap.
  • Trailing stop — lock in gains as the market moves your way.
About slippage. In fast-moving markets the fill price can differ slightly from the last quote. Using limit orders lets you cap the price you are willing to accept.
FAQ

Execution questions

What is market execution?

Your order is filled at the best price available at that moment. In normal conditions this is at or very close to the price you clicked.

What is slippage?

Slippage is the difference between the expected and executed price, which can occur when markets move quickly. Limit orders help you control it.

Where can I see my executed trades?

Every trade is recorded in your Otto dashboard and in your MetaTrader 4 account history and statement.
